Array card is the full name of disk array card, used for RAID (inexpensive disk array). A disk array is a system that combines multiple hard drives into a whole according to certain requirements. The entire disk array is managed by an array controller. Independent disk redundant array (RAID) technology was developed by the University of California, Berkeley in 1987. The initial development was to combine small and cheap disks to replace large and expensive disks to reduce the cost of mass data storage (raid was then called dundant Cheap Disk Arrays), and we also wanted to adopt several bits of information so that access to data would not be lost in the event of a disk failure. Thus developed a certain level of data protection technology.
